MAY 22 - 24, 2018
Embarking on its 21st year, NHSTES eagerly anticipates presentations by human services training evaluators and child welfare administrators on how they are preparing for the future of data-driven decision making by innovatively using such tools as data, technology, and business intelligence applications.
The California Social Work Education Center (CalSWEC) has co-sponsored and hosted the National Human Services Training Evaluation Symposium (NHSTES) annually in Berkeley since in 1998. In 2011, the symposium was held outside California for the first time, in Ithaca, New York, when Cornell University was the co-host. In 2013, the co-host was the University of Pittsburgh.
The symposium provides a unique environment for national and international training evaluators in the human services to discuss emerging issues that they face in their work and to strategize about how to move the field forward. CalSWEC's coordinating partners are allocated specific slots so that they can actively participate in and benefit from the discussions.
CalSWEC co-sponsors the National Human Services Training Evaluation Symposium with the California Department of Social Services and the National Staff Development and Training Association of the American Public Human Services Association.
